Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have reunited for Missionary, a joint album and cinematic short film directed by Dave Meyers and narrated by Wu-Tang Clan’s Method Man. The film re-imagines the duo as vigilante anti-heroes with telepathic powers, delivering justice on the streets with a blend of West Coast swagger and superhero grit.
Through Method Man’s narration, viewers follow the duo’s mission to reclaim the streets, rescue kidnapped children, and dismantle corruption—all while enforcing ruthless justice on those who cross them. Jhené Aiko and 50 Cent make guest appearances, with 50 Cent’s post-credits scene teasing a potential sequel.
The Missionary album is their first full-length collaboration since 1993’s Doggystyle. It features heavyweight contributors like Eminem, 50 Cent, Jhené Aiko, Sting, and Jelly Roll, with Dr. Dre’s signature production leading the way. Highlights include “Outta Da Blue” with Alus, “Gunz N Smoke” with Eminem and 50 Cent, and “Last Dance With Mary Jane” featuring the late Tom Petty.
With Missionary, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre deliver a blend of cinematic storytelling and hip-hop’s signature style. Their return as a duo highlights their continued influence on West Coast rap and creative storytelling.
