Adele’s Long-awaited Vacation

Pop-soul singer-songwriter Adele shares plans to take a break from making music. Currently, the musician is completing Weekends with Adele, her two-year-long Las Vegas residency. Once these shows wrap up in November, Adele will take a “big break” from music.

The residency focuses on the live performances of her 2021 album 30. “I don’t have any plans for new music at all,” reveals Adele, despite fans awaiting news of the next edition of the artist’s numerology music series.

Adele’s aversion to fame is part of her decision not to work on new material. “I miss everything about before I was famous; I think probably being anonymous the most,” she says in another interview. “I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time, but next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live,” she tells one Vegas audience in January. Adele is known for taking time between albums, adding to the fullness of her projects. Seemingly, this time around, listeners will just have to sink their teeth deeper into her discography.
