Twin Shadow, The Ting Tings Among Set for SXSW

South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival has revealed the first wave of artists for its 39th edition, set to take place from March 10-15 in Austin, Texas. Renowned as a hub of musical discovery for fans and industry insiders, this annual event will once again bring together an eclectic mix of talent from across the globe.

On October 29, festival organizers announced a diverse roster of over 100 emerging and established acts that will grace stages across Austin. Among the highlights are UK pop duo The Ting Tings, Mexican regional singer Justin Morales, Dublin’s punk outfit Gurriers, Indonesian psychedelic funk band Ali, Montreal’s art-punk group La Sécurité, Australian rockers Delivery, and indie pop artist Twin Shadow, who will premiere his sixth album, Georgie, during the event.

“This initial lineup is just a taste of what’s to come at SXSW 2025,” said James Minor, VP of Music Festival. “From rising talent to legendary acts, it’s all here. SXSW is more than just a diverse playlist—it’s a roadmap to discovery. This is just the first step toward the incredible experience that awaits in March.”

True to its global spirit, this year’s lineup features acts representing countries like Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, and Norway. Founded in 1987, SXSW has grown into a premier event covering tech, film, TV, music, education, and culture. It has also expanded internationally with editions in Sydney and London, solidifying its role as a global gathering point for creative minds.

The full 2025 conference and festival will run from March 10-15 in Austin.
