Pete Best turned his mother’s home and former cafe into a historic music destination stop. Mona Best, Pete’s mother, bought a conservative club property and opened Cabash Coffee Club in the cellar. The first show played at the cafe was The Beatles (before they were THE Beatles), who added Pete Best as their drummer. A year later, their producer, George Martin, kicked Pete out of the band, replacing him with Ringo Star.
Unhappy with the turn of events, Best utilized his brief moment in the band by making the Cafe a Liverpool tourist spot. Now, the family has put the house on the Airbnb market.
Beatlesmaniacs can now stay in rooms and suites named after the band numbers, excluding Ringo. Be sure to get on the waitlist! The Guardian reports the Airbnb is already getting booked up from international reservations!
