Sabrina Carpenter Rings in the Holidays on Netflix

Sabrina Carpenter is adding some cheer to the holiday season with a brand-new variety special, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, coming to Netflix on December 6, 2024, at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. Known for her playful pop persona and hit song “Nonsense,” Carpenter is bringing her signature charm, music, and comedy to the streaming stage in a way that promises to shake up the classic holiday special format.

Featuring songs from her 2023 holiday EP fruitcake alongside beloved Christmas classics, A Nonsense Christmas will also spotlight surprise guest performers, comedic cameos, and some “unexpected duets” that Carpenter has promised will add to the “chaos and fun” of the show. “It’s not just me singing by a tree,” Carpenter quipped, “I’m so excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show, making it a mix of music and comedy that’s uniquely me.”

The Netflix special is produced by Carpenter under her At Last Productions, alongside OBB Media, with Michael D. Ratner, CEO of OBB, praising her vision to reinvent the genre: “Sabrina’s vision to subvert the classic holiday special has been clear since day one.” Viewers can expect everything from dynamic holiday hits to fresh renditions of Carpenter’s pop anthems, likely ending with her live show tradition of adding a festive twist to the “Nonsense” outro.

With A Nonsense Christmas, Carpenter joins a list of stars who’ve embraced the holiday variety format, but it’s her first venture into producing her own holiday show. And with her record-breaking album Short n’ Sweet already making waves, she’s well on her way to establishing a multifaceted holiday presence for her fans.
