Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa Light Up ‘A Carpool Karaoke Christmas’

Chappell Roan also join in on the fun hosted by Zane Lowe

Apple TV+ surprised fans this holiday season with the release of A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, a festive spin on its Emmy-winning series. The hour-long special features superstar guests Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, and Chappell Roan, with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe stepping in as host.

The holiday special, which premiered on December 15, combines festive classics like “Last Christmas” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” with signature hits from the featured artists. Gaga revisits her cheeky holiday track “Christmas Tree” and performs her chart-topper “Die With a Smile.” Dua Lipa delivers a karaoke rendition of “Sleigh Ride” and her breakout hit “New Rules,” while Chappell Roan brings heartfelt energy with “Pink Pony Club” and Wham!’s “Last Christmas.”

Adding to the excitement, Lowe and Gaga debut a special rendition of “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” which is now available to stream on Apple Music and other platforms. James Corden, who originated the Carpool Karaoke concept on The Late Late Show with James Corden, makes a cameo to pass the keys to Lowe, describing him as “a trusted voice among today’s top artists.”

Filmed across locations in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Missouri, the special blends lighthearted moments with personal reflections from the artists. Highlights include Gaga’s playful nods to her career, Lipa recounting her journey to global stardom, and Roan’s heartfelt exchange with her family during their Missouri segment.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series first premiered in 2017 and has since become a cultural phenomenon, winning five consecutive Emmys in the short-form series category. This holiday special continues its tradition of pairing big personalities with unforgettable singalongs, making A Carpool Karaoke Christmas a must-watch for music and holiday enthusiasts alike.

The special is now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+ and Apple Music, with a global rollout scheduled for December 20. Fans can take advantage of Apple’s free trial offers to enjoy the special without cost during the holiday season.
