Kelly Clarkson Set to Move to New York with Her Talk Show

The host made a big announcement

The Grammy-award winning artist and talk show host Kelly Clarkson made a big announcement recently on her show – she’s moving to New York with her team for the fifth season. As we all know, Kelly has been entertaining audiences for many years, and her talk show has only added to her reputation as one of the most versatile celebrities in the industry. Since premiering in September 2019, the Kelly Clarkson Show has taken the world by storm. Kelly’s natural talent as a host, coupled with her incredible singing voice, has made the show one of the most popular daytime television shows in the US.

During an interview with Nancy O’Dell, Clarkson explained the move, “I love this question because I haven’t actually been able to talk about this a lot. I even talked to my crew back in January … I was like, ‘You guys’ — and it was through tears, cuz I have built such an amazing group of people,” she adds, “I have had such a great experience with all these people and these relationships, so it kinda sucks to uproot it and move it. But that was 100 percent my idea, and it was really cool NBC backed me, because I was like, y’all, I love doing this show. I really do. I didn’t even know I would. But I was like, I gotta make a change for me and my family.”

Due to an expose by Rolling Stone the singer recently needed to comment on the behind the scenes workings, “I have always been, and will continue to be, committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment at The Kelly Clarkson Show. As we prepare for a move to the East Coast, I am more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our team that is moving but also our new team in NY is comprised of the best and kindest in the business.”

New York will now be home for the singer who also has a new album releasing soon and she hopes to make the best of her fresh start, “…there [were] a lot of personal things going on, too, where I feel like our family — me and my kids — really needed a fresh start. And I just could not get it here. It was just hurdle after hurdle with things.”
