Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Kelly Clarkson has announced a Las Vegas residency that will feature songs from her upcoming album ‘Chemistry.’ Chemistry: An Intimate Evening with Kelly Clarkson opens at the Bakkt Theater in Planet Hollywood from July 28th through August 19th. “I could only commit to 10 shows, that’s why it’s exclusive,” Clarkson tells her audience on the Kelly Clarkson Show show, “I ain’t adding more, I’m telling you right now. Mama needs a little bit, a minute of a break.”
Kelly Clarkson burst onto the music scene in 2002 when she won the first season of American Idol. Since then, she has sold over 25 million albums worldwide, released nine studio albums, won three Grammy Awards (including Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2019 release ‘Meaning of Life’) and had countless hit singles. She is also a successful television host, having served as a coach on NBC’s The Voice since 2018.
At her Las Vegas show, fans hope to hear some of Kelly’s biggest hits like “Since U Been Gone” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” along with songs from her upcoming album Chemistry set, “I was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing ‘cause I didn’t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some just like, ‘I’m angry, I’m sad’ — like just one or two emotions, you know?” says Kelly. “This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn’t be just brought down to one thing. Chemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you”
The album is to be released, “very soon.”
