Elton John & Brandi Carlile’s Concert to Air as CBS Special

Music legends Elton John and Brandi Carlile are teaming up on stage – and on TV – in a big way this spring. Their upcoming one-night-only concert at London’s historic Palladium Theatre will be filmed as the basis for a prime-time CBS special titled, An Evening With Elton John & Brandi Carlile. The hour-long special is set to air April 6, 2025 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, and will stream simultaneously for Paramount+ viewers. The event promises an intimate mix of live performances and storytelling, offering fans both artists’ hits as well as a sneak peek at new collaborative material. In fact, Elton and Brandi have been working on a joint album called Who Believes in Angels?, and the special will include songs from that project alongside Elton’s timeless classics and Brandi’s own new compositions.

Filmed in front of a live audience on March 26 in London, An Evening With Elton John & Brandi Carlile will capture the on-stage chemistry of a partnership that’s been years in the making. The two Grammy winners share a 20-year friendship, and they’ll dive into candid conversations between songs, reflecting on their musical journeys and mutual inspirations. Viewers can expect Elton behind the piano for beloved numbers from his catalog, Brandi showcasing her powerhouse vocals, and the pair trading harmonies on brand-new duets from the forthcoming album. According to press materials, the setlist even features an unreleased Brandi Carlile track and other surprises, making this special a must-see for fans.

Behind the scenes, a powerhouse production team is helming the special. Fulwell 73 Productions – the outfit that produced Elton’s Emmy-winning Farewell from Dodger Stadium livestream – is in charge, with Ben Winston and Gabe Turner as executive producers. Their involvement signals a top-tier concert presentation, likely blending onstage footage with backstage glimpses into the making of Who Believes in Angels?. The special will also feature testimonials and cameos from some of Elton and Brandi’s famous friends, adding extra insight into their artistic bond. Elton John, who wrapped his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in 2023, shows no signs of slowing down – this TV event with Carlile underscores his continued evolution. For Brandi Carlile, a noted Elton devotee turned collaborator, it’s another milestone in a remarkable career. Mark your calendars for April 6: two of music’s most passionate voices are about to share an evening of “music magic” with the world.
