Childish Gambino releases surprise album and video

Childish Gambino, also known as Donald Glover, broke a four-year music hiatus by releasing a new album, Atavista, and announcing a world tour. The tour, named the New World Tour, will feature special guests Willow Smith and Amaarae. General public tickets for the tour go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through thenewworldtour.com and Ticketmaster.com. American Express cardholders have early access, with varying times per market. Further details on presale tickets are available at thenewworldtour.com.

This tour marks Gambino’s first since 2018, following his recent projects such as concluding “Atlanta,” starring in “The Lion King” remake, and his music ventures. His latest album, Atavista is a reimagining of his 2020 release “3.15.20,” with collaborations including Ariana Grande and 21 Savage. Additionally, he unveiled the music video for “Little Foot, Big Foot,” featuring Young Nudy and Quinta Brunson.
