Björk and Skepta Headline Apple’s New Year’s

DJ phenomenon Uncle Waffles also joins Apple Music’s New Year’s Eve Events

Apple Music has unveiled the lineup for its Apple Music Live: NYE livestream events, offering music fans a vibrant way to ring in 2025. Featuring performances from Björk, Skepta, and Uncle Waffles, the two-part celebration promises to showcase a mix of genres and global talent, streaming exclusively on Apple Music platforms.

The festivities kick off with an audio-only stream at 9 PM GMT on December 31, headlined by Björk in a rare DJ set. Joining her are Apple Music regulars Tim Sweeney and DJ Naina. These performances, recorded at London’s iconic venue The Cause, will air on Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1.

At 11 PM GMT, the event transitions to video livestreams featuring British grime icon Skepta and South African amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles. Their sets, also recorded at The Cause, will stream across Apple Music, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music 1, blending high-energy performances with an intimate club atmosphere.

Beyond the headline acts, Apple Music will curate a 24-hour program of special DJ mixes on Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1. Artists like Justice, Rüfüs Du Sol, horsegiirL, John Summit, and Jyoty will contribute exclusive sets, ensuring a continuous soundtrack for New Year’s celebrations around the globe.

The announcement comes as Björk wraps up her recent sound exhibition, Natural Manifesto, at Paris’ Centre Pompidou. The project blended AI-generated recreations of extinct animal sounds with spoken word vocals, further cementing her reputation as a boundary-pushing artist. Meanwhile, Uncle Waffles has spent 2024 captivating audiences worldwide, while Skepta’s DJ sets have become a cornerstone of the UK club scene.

This marks Apple Music’s second year of New Year’s Eve livestreams, following last year’s sets by Kaytranada, Peggy Gou, and Honey Dijon. Tune in via Apple Music platforms to experience this global music event to welcome 2025.
