Brazilian artist Anitta will kick off the halftime show for the NFL’s first game in São Paulo. This is the first South American edition of the NFL’s inaugural regular season games outside the US. The game will be held at the Arena Corinthians on September 6.
NFL’s head of music, Seth Dudowsky, senior VP of global event operations & production, said, “When we talked about artists that we wanted to work with, Anitta was at the top of that list.” This was a conscious effort to integrate the NFL with the country’s culture and not over-Americanize the event.
“Music is something that brings us all together, no matter where you’re from or what your background is,” Anitta said.
