Born to Nigerian parents and raised in the vibrant cultural mix of South London, Odeal’s music reflects his diverse influences. From Afrobeats to soul, and of course R&B, his sound has always drawn from a broad spectrum of genres, making him stand out in the saturated UK music scene. His unique approach to blending these genres, layered with his heartfelt vocal delivery, has attracted a growing fan base. After returning to London in 2017, Odeal started combining his diverse musical influences and made significant sacrifices to pursue his dreams. He sold his cherished camera and Beats headphones to buy a new laptop for music production. With time, he gathered enough material to create his debut EP, Pragma. “I loved the entire process of making that project because it was all me,” he reflects on the independent release that came out in 2018. “I realized I could release music on my own, without relying on anyone else.”
