MGMT, Weezer, Drake, Ozzy headline Voodoo Experience


news_mgmtMGMT, Drake, Weezer, Ozzy Osbourne, and Muse will headline the 2010 Voodoo Experience Festival, October 29 through 31, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Other groups already confirmed for the festival include Florence & the Machine, Hot Chip, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Interpol, Sigur RosJonsi, Janelle Monae, and Metric.

Tickets for the festival are already on sale, priced at $150 for a three-day pass and $500 for VIP passes.

The String Cheese Incident has announced that it will bring its famed Hulaween shows to Hampton, Virginia, October 29 and 30. These will be the final dates on The String Cheese Incident’s 2010 touring calendar. The Disco Biscuits will support the band at both shows. Electric Zoo: New York’s Electronic Music Festival returns to Randall’s Island Park, September 4 and 5, and will feature more than 50 artists on multiple stages. news_u2U2 will headline the Glastonbury festival in 2010, marking the first time that the group has played the festival. 2010 will mark the 40th anniversary of the legendary festival. Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young headlined the 2009 edition of the fest. Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis noted that U2 will headline Friday night and that he is still working on “three or four superstars” to appear during the fest. Among the rumored bands are Muse, the Rolling Stones, Coldplay, David Bowie, and Led Zeppelin

In conjunction with the recent release of his Christmas In The Heart album, Bob Dylan sat down for an interview with journalist Bill Flanagan. The interview, which is the only one Dylan is doing in conjunction with the release of the album, will be syndicated worldwide through the International Network of Street Papers…
