In 2017 all-female bands are more rare than they should be. At the very least there are plenty of solo acts dominating and giving a empowering feeling to various demographics. Regardless, here are five groups we think are excelling in the music industry right now.
Consisting of three sisters, Los Angeles-based HAIM are absolutely a massive pop contender in today's music business. Managed by Jay Z's Roc Nation and signed to Polydor Records the group was nominated for Best New Artist at the 57th Grammy Awards. On top of this they've made two appearance on Saturday Night Live with the most recent being May 13th of 2017, and are setting up to release their second album Something to Tell You this summer.
