Chris Cornell Passes Away At 52

Chris Cornell, famous for his massive rock bands Audioslave and Soundgarden, died "sudden and unexpected" according to representative Brian Bumbery. The rocker was only 52 and was currently on tour in Detroit.

Cornell, with Soundgarden, is credited as being one of the strongest forces in the grunge genre to come out of Seattle alongside bands such as Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains. On top of that him joining the remaining members of Rage Against The Machine to form Audioslave was a game-changer in the rock world.

Dontae Freeman, spokesman for the Detroit Police Department, stated that police responded to an apparent suicide at the MGM Grand casino. Cornell was found with a band around his neck and it has been left as an “apparent suicide" as of now.
