5 Spot: Most Anticipated Albums Of 2017

2017 has and will be a year of the unexpected. Like every year there's always a handful of artists that come to mind that we get extra excited about when it comes to releasing new music. Getting right to it, here are five musicians/groups we are more than stoked about releasing new albums.

Lorde

Lorde's 2013 debut Pure Heroine launched a massive career for the young superstar. Fans have been overly eager to hear more since then but Lorde has been mostly quiet. Around her birthday Lorde wrote about her upcoming album on Instagram:

"Writing Pure Heroine was my way of enshrining our teenage glory, putting it up in lights forever so that part of me never dies, and this record – well, this one is about what comes next. I want nothing more than to spill my guts RIGHT NOW about the whole thing – I want you to see the album cover, pore over the lyrics (the best I've written in my life), touch the merch, experience the live show. I can hardly stop myself from typing out the name. I just need to keep working a while longer to make it as good as it can be. You'll have to hold on. The big day is not tomorrow, or even next month realistically, but soon. I know you understand."

To everyone's anticipation it has been widely assumed that Lorde will be release some sort of new music on March 7th according to a weekly agenda posting on the Republic Records website. Only time will tell, but new music is definitely on the way soon.
