A brand new single from Katy Perry has arrived just days before her performance on the Grammys this Sunday. "Chained to the Rhythm" has arrived through an interesting lyric video. Some were hoping to see more of Perry's new blonde-hair look but we'll settle for a new song regardless.
With the lyrics at the very bottom we watch as a giant human hand decides to make miniature meals like a world class chef. It is from here we realize that all the meals are for hamsters who are just mostly watching tv of their own kind on hamster wheels. It may seem super cute at first until you think about the high possibility of it all being a metaphor for us as a society.
"So comfortable, we're living in a bubble, bubble" is a prime example of the darkly-real subject matter of the track. "Chained to the Rhythm" sees songwriting help from Sia and a feature from Bob Marley's grandson, Skip Marley.
What do you think the visual represents?
