Ariana Grande & John Legend Take On "Beauty and the Beast"

“Beauty and the Beast,” the title track for the Disney classic, was originally written by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken in 1991 and famously performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson. It notably won the 1992 Oscar for Best Original Song, a Golden Globe for Best Original Song, and two Grammy Awards for Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Get ready to have a sense of nostalgia...

It has been announced that a new version of the song will see the likes of John Legend and Ariana Grande coming together in musical bliss. The duet will be heard on the new upcoming film adaptation, hitting theaters March 17, and the accompanying soundtrack. To add more to the hype, the creation will be produced by Ron Fair, a mastermind that has six Grammy-winning songs to his name. Flair had to say:

"Stepping into the shoes of an Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning classic is not small potatoes. But with today’s two greatest singers – John Legend and Ariana Grande – we are bringing the song back with a new school/old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire."
