This is slightly awkward.
Electronic duo The Chainsmokers have detailed their recent discussion with artists we didn't exactly expect. Drew Taggart and Alex Pall spoke in a recent interview that their future projects might include that of Weezer, Big Sean and Linkin Park. Funny enough, Weezer reached out too long ago after just denying the Chainsmokers' invite to join them at Coachella 2016... Rethinking, perhaps?
“I can’t blame somebody for saying no early on, but it depends on how you said no and how you came back to us,” Alex told Billboard. “If you own it, like, ‘I didn’t see the vision, but it’s clear now and it’s super sick,’ I get that. It feels good when those people are like...” Drew interrupts, “Thirsty.”
It is no wonder why artists are suddenly reaching out to the NYC duo. Their single, "Closer," with Halsey has absolutely blown up across the world, hitting No. 1 on the charts and performed at the MTV VMA's. These guys are simply skyrocketing.
