This just in -- MTV just announced that international pop sensation Britney Spears will be performing at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards alongside G-Eazy. This performance comes following their release of "Make Me," a standout single on her upcoming album, Glory.
This performance will be the first since 2007. She made the announcement on her socials including a video created with filmmaking duo Radical Friend. The video will be featured in the VMAs ad campaign, “Canvas”.
A press release states, "As performers are added to the VMAs lineup, each will select a Pantone color (Britney’s is bright orange) and create a 30-second creative spot that will be incorporated into the larger campaign. The result will be a highly-personal, artist-driven campaign."
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air from New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.
