Paul McCartney is set to embark on a six-part virtual reality series, documenting his life and journey in the music industry. It sits on the heels of his June 10 release of compilation album Pure McCartney. PURE McCartney VR is to be directed by Tony Kaye, a Grammy winner for the first VR project.
Produced by Palo Alto-based VR company Jaunt, the series was filmed in McCartney's home as he discusses his inspiration, influences, moments that fuel his creativity and memories. It's a really intimate look at his thought process, bringing us closer to the mastermind of an artist.
PURE McCartney VR episodes start with "Dance Tonight" and "Coming Up," released on Tuesday; followed by "My Valentine" Parts 1 and 2 (May 31 and June 7), "Mull of Kintyre" (June 10) and "Early Days" (June 14).
