Coloring Book has arrived. No, not Chance 3, but the same project. The name change came out of nowhere, as did the drop on Apple Music last night. Chance The Rapper constructed a 14-track album that, he says, is "better than Surf."
It's symphonic, it's filled with tasteful hip hop and delivers an innovative approach to new age party tunes. Collaborations are plentiful, with verses from Kanye West, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Justin Bieber, Towkio, Jeremih, Jay Electronica, Future, Eryn Allen Kane, T-Pain, Kirk Franklin, Noname, Lil Yachty, Young Thug and Francis & The Lights.
Additionally, D.R.A.M. gets his own place on the record, with a track called "D.R.A.M. Sings Special."
It's quite the body of work, blending sounds of all kinds to produce what might be Chance's best project yet.
