Today is the day. Radiohead is back with their ninth studio album. It's called A Moon Shaped Pool, revealing 11 new tracks. They, wittily enough, are in alphabetical order, cohesive with the album's holistic audial journey.

After deleting all their content from the internet last week and then surprising us with a brand new stop motion music video, it's about time we catch a break with a solid project. "Burn The Witch" and "Daydreamer" previewed the album, hitting millions and millions of views of youtube instantly.
A Moon Shaped Pool is available to download from amoonshapedpool.com and will be available on vinyl and CD sometime in mid-June. You can grab the special edition that contains the full 11 tracks across a two piece vinyl and one CD, with an additional CD holding special tracks. To top it off, you'll also receive a 32 page digital booklet and a digital download. It feels like the holidays.
The full package is set to ship in September, containing a piece of a half-inch master tape from an authentic Radiohead recording session.
“The tape degrades over time and becomes unplayable. We thought rather than it ending up as landfill we would cut it up and make it useful as a part of the special edition. A new life for some obsolete technology... Each loop contains about ¾ of a second of audio - which could be from any era in the band’s recording past going back to Kid A. You may have silence, you may have coloured leader tape, you may have a chorus... It’s a crapshoot. We have copies. Don’t worry.”
