As more and more festivals reveal their lineups, more and more people are diving into their savings accounts, buzzing about the wide range of insane talent. Festival culture has rapidly expanded over the past few years, with this movement completely taking over the summer/fall seasons.
Austin City Limits is undoubtedly one of the most noteworthy, as their legacy goes back all the way to 1974 when they aired a weekly live performance on PBS. The festival itself was founded in 2002, and has rapidly expanded to be an incredible celebration of music and culture in Austin, Texas every year.
The lineup for the 2016 ACL was announced today, and you're going to want to check this out. Headliners include Radiohead, Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar and LCD Soundsystem (enough to lock in your ticket, of course.)
But wait -- there's more.
Supporting acts are the best there is. There's something for everyone, as every genre is included in this two week spanning event.
Don't miss acts like Bob Moses, Major Lazer, The Chainsmokers, Flying Lotus, Bayonne, Break Science, Flume amongst a huge amount of other production geniuses.
How about pop music? Indie perhaps?
Check out Melanie Martinez, Jess Glynne, Nao, Young the Giant, Two Door Cinema Club, Foals, Jack Garratt, Andrew Bird, Gallant and Flight Facilities for example.
Want to turn up a bit? Hip hop is plentiful...
Included this year is Anderson Paak, DJ Mustard, Tory Lanez, Domo Genesis, LL Cool J and will be there to jam with you.
