Moving forward, Joe Jonas will be published by none other than Universal Music Publishing Group.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with the team at UMPG from the inception of DNCE and they’ve been an essential part of breaking the band. This deal with them further solidifies our relationship and allows me to continue to stay true to my vision and what I love most, in addition to where I’m taking DNCE," said Joe on the new move.
This deal, which was locked in this week, will include all songs under his newly formed band DNCE, as well as any solo projects coming up in the future. "Cake By The Ocean" was DNCE's first smash hit, that topped the charts in the Billboard Hot 100 and went certified platinum.
“It takes a very special artist to achieve worldwide success in one group, and then to achieve that same kind of success again in another one," claimed UMPG chairman and CEO Jody Gerson. "Joe Jonas is that rare talent, having scored hits as a singer and songwriter first with the Jonas Brothers and now with DNCE. His creativity, hard work and passion are remarkable and I'm thrilled to have him join UMPG’s roster of great artists and writers."
