Brittany Howard Delivers Powerful Performance at the White House

Last night, President Barack Obama hosted the Smithsonian's celebration of Ray Charles held at the White House. Brittany Howard and her Grammy Award-winning band, Alabama Shakes, were amongst the crew of performers at the event, honoring Ray Charles in, quite literally, an honorable way. Alongside Yolanda Adams, Demi Lovato and Andra Day, Brittany Howard sang to "Heaven Helped Us All," additionally making a performance for the closing act of "What'd I Say."

On top of this, acts including Leon Bridges, Usher, Jussie Smollett, the Band Perry, and Sam Moore stole the show.
