After weeks of voting and social media campaigning the inductees for the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was revealed.
These five legendary acts make up the class of 2016 along with other honorees to be announced later. The Induction Ceremony is set to take place on April 8 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. In order to even be considered for a nomination an act has to have had their first album released 25 years ago and pass through more than 600 musicians, historians and other industry titans. NWA’s induction is as refreshing as it is shocking with the RRHOF list being notorious for its lack of inducting acts who are ...let’s say not guitarists in. Some have noted that none of the acts this year are female, with Janet Jackson (who many thought was a top contender) being left off the inductees list. HBO will be filming the ceremony which will most likely be broadcasted in May 2016.
