Bieber's 'Purpose' Surpasses Legends In Music

Justin Bieber just dropped his album Purpose (iTunes)and it has made an incredible splash in the world of music. In fact, the results were so highly successful that the young pop sensation has surpassed Drake and even... The Beatles (whaaat!?) After only two weeks of release, Bieber held a whopping 17 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, claiming the most titles that any artist has placed on the chart in one single week. He beats the 14 tracks that The Beatles made to the charts on April 11, 1964 and Drake on the March 7 and Oct. 17 this year.

Purpose holds #1 on the charts strong, and is currently tying with The Beatles as well as 50 Cent for having three songs in the Hot 100 top five at one time.

The Beatles held the title for most songs on the Hot 100 in a single week for over 50 years, counting 14 on the April 11, 1964 led by the smash hit "Can't Buy Me Love" and "Twist and Shout", marking number one and two. To proceed this was Drake (many years later) - having twice totaled 14 Hot 100 tracks, powered by some of the year's biggest projects, If You're Reading This It's Too Late (iTunes) and What a Time to Be Alive (iTunes).
