Tyrese tops Billboard 200 albums chart


Tyrese debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart this week, after his sixth album, Black Rose, shifted 77,000 equivalent album units in its first week of release. This is the first time in the singer's 17-year career that he has held the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Taylor Swift's 1989 holds the No. 2 spot. She is followed at No. 3 by Meek Mill's Dreams Worth More Than Money, which fell from the No. 1 position.

The Kidz Bop KidsKidz Bop 29 debuted at No. 4 after earning 38,000 units. Rounding out the top five is Ed Sheeran's X.

R5's sophomore full-length album entered the chart at No. 6 after moving 31,000 units. Sam Hunt's Montevallo falls two spots to No. 7; Meghan Trainor's Title jumped three spots to No. 8; Drake's If You're Reading This It's Too Late leaped from No. 13 to No. 9; and Maroon 5's V holds the No. 10 spot.
