Nickelback announced that the band has been forced to cancel the second leg of its No Fixed Address world tour after it was revealed that frontman Chad Kroeger would need surgery to heal a cyst on his voice box.
All of the band's shows through September 4 have been canceled, with refunds for the shows available at point of purchase.
The band kicks off an extensive tour of Europe, September 30, in Helsinki, Finland. That leg of the tour runs through December 7, and a press release indicated that Kroeger would be healed in time for the European tour.
None of the North American dates were rescheduled, but the band said that it "expected to return to North America in 2016."
"I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans," Kroeger said. "I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible."
