Rick Ross and his bodyguard Nadrian James were arrested Wednesday morning (June 24), on kidnapping, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery charges. Both men were denied bond.
Police said that the arrests were a result of a June 7 report about an alleged assault at Ross' home in Fayette County, Georgia. He was accused of forcing a man into his guesthouse and holding him there for several hours. The complainant was also allegedly beaten with a handgun, according to court documents.
The as-yet-identified victim has two chipped teeth, scratches, bruises, and a neck injury. The victim has also lost the use of his jaw and cannot chew his own food.
Supervisory Inspector Tony Schilling of the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force said that Ross was cooperative during the arrest.
Ross and his bodyguard are being held at the Fayette County jail for an initial appearance and bond hearing.
