Music mogul P.Diddy was arrested Monday (June 22) at UCLA after allegedly attempting to swing a kettlebell at a university football coach. Diddy was arrested after 12:30 pm at the university's Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
There are various reports as to the reason for the conflict that led to the arrest. TMZ is reporting that Diddy wanted to speak with strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi because Diddy's' son, Justin Combs, had reportedly been browbeaten by Alosi at an earlier practice. Other reports claim that Alosi was the aggressor and Diddy was only defending himself with the kettlebell.
The entire incident was caught on an as-yet-unreleased video.
"I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved," UCLA football coach Jim Mora said after the arrest. "While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time."
