Justin Timberlake took home three American Music Awards Sunday night (November 24) and Taylor Swift was named Artist of the Year, during a star-studded ceremony that took place in Los Angeles, California. In addition to the Artist of the Year nod, Swift was also named Favorite Female Country Artist, and her album, Red, won Favorite Country Album honors.
Timberlake was named Favorite Male Pop/Rock Artist and Favorite Male Soul/R&B Artist, and also won the award for Favorite Soul/R&B album for The 20/20 Experience.
Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" (featuring Nelly) was named Single of the Year. Ariana Grande was named New Artist of the Year.
The Icon Award went to Rihanna, who also won the award for Favorite Female Soul/R&B Artist.
One Direction won two awards. They were named Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and their album, Take Me Home, received the award for Favorite Pop/Rock album.
Luke Bryan was named Favorite Male Country Artist.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist won the award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album. Marc Anthony was named Favorite Latin Music Artist. Imagine Dragons were tabbed as Favorite Alternative Rock Artist, and Avicii was named Favorite Electronic Dance Music Artist.
